The celebration of the next SEProt congress is getting closer! The opening ceremony (Tuesday, November 15th, 4:00 pm) will feature Dr. Albert Heck, Professor of Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics at Utrecht University and scientific director of the Netherlands Proteomics Centre. Dr. Heck has just been named Honorary Member of SEProt, and will be honored during the Opening Ceremony. In the following days, various scientific sessions will be held with prestigious keynote speakers, in which your participation will be essential to enrich the discussions and contribute to the high scientific quality of the event. The SEProt general assembly will take place on Thursday 17th at 6:30 pm. The congress will end on Friday 18th with a closing lecture by Juanjo Calvete, from the Structural and Functional Venomics Unit of Instituto de Biomedicina de Valencia.
Each day there will be time to visit the posters, during coffee breaks and also in specific sessions after lunch. Juan Pablo Albar awards for the best scientific paper, best poster and best oral communication will be awarded at the closing ceremony. Finally, we would have time in the evenings to enjoy the city of Cádiz, considered the oldest city in Western Europe. The Congress venue, the Parador, has spectacular views over the bay and is a perfect setting for our meeting.
