Welcome to CÓRDOBA 2024!
It is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you for the IX SEProt Scientific Meeting of the Spanish Society of Proteomics and 4st Joint Meeting of Spanish, Portuguese and French Proteomics Societies, which will take place in Cordoba. All SEProt meetings are special for me, but this particular gathering holds double significance as we celebrate the 20th anniversary and return to the same wonderful venue where the first congress was held in Cordoba back in 2005.
The meeting will explore various key topics, including: i) New Advances in Quantitative Proteomics, ii) Single Cell Proteomics, iii) Spatial-Omics: New Frontiers, iv) Clinical Proteomics, v) Proteomics of Non-Model Organisms of Interest in the Agroforestry, Food, and Environmental Sectors, vi) Bioinformatics and Data Processing and vii) Topdown & Interactomics. The organizing team, led by the four chairs, Antonio Romero-Ruiz, Mª Ángeles Castillejo-Sánchez, Eduardo Chicano-Gálvez, and Carlos Fuentes-Almagro, have done an excellent job in curating an outstanding program that features presentations and discussions led by international experts in the field.
I am confident that the IX SEProt Congress will provide you with a unique opportunity to connect with your fellow colleagues for scientific interaction, meaningful discussions, and engaging debates within an inspiring and professional environment.
Now is the time to begin envisioning the next 20 years based on the insights we have gained here.

Welcome Address of the Organizing Committee
Dear colleagues and friends,
The Organising Committee welcomes you to Córdoba for the 9th SEProt Congress entitled: «IX Congress Spanish Society of Proteomics: 20th Anniversary». This is a very special meeting as it marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of SEProt (Valencia 2004). Córdoba, where the first congress was held (SEProt Córdoba 2005), is a beautiful city with numerous scientific groups and a relevant impact in the field of proteomics, supported by two proteomics facilities with the most advanced technology for a high quality local, national and international service.
This congress will include an outstanding scientific programme with sessions on state-of-the-art proteomics, plenary lectures, posters and oral communications, which, together with the presence of highly relevant researchers, will allow thought-provoking exchanges and discussions on the latest scientific advances in the field.
The Organising and Scientific Committees of the 9th SEProt Congress have worked with great enthusiasm to prepare this event.
